The story behind our LOGO
Inspired by the Christian Artist Chris Quirk, the orange flowers are stylised epidendrum stalk and flowers. Epidendrums are hardy plants, they flower and bloom easily, even for beginner gardeners, they survive the Australian conditions and bloom all year round. They have many aerial roots. They are bright orange and often known as a crucifix orchid. Orange is a vibrant and happy colour with historical links to protestant churches. There are many references in the Bible to Christians flourishing, growing and persevering in all circumstances. The committee felt this was an appropriate logo to have for the WMPCA as we endeavour to promote the flourishing of women within our churches.
